In portraits saturated with the colours of extreme heat, a young woman appears bored, passive, and waiting, as though environmental crisis has become an ordinary condition rather than an exceptional event. Still-life images of artificial natural forms accompany her, blurring the boundary between the organic and the synthetic. Together, the photographs reflect a world in which nature is increasingly replaced by its plastic imitation, while catastrophe is met with detachment, fatigue, and anticipation.
