These works emerged from my research into the manosphere and the forms of violence and self-harm circulating among young men online. Images of “looksmaxxing” practices are printed on hammered aluminium, referencing red-pill ideology and the pressure to harden and reshape the male body.

A deepfake made using my image, voice, and performance explores digital control over women. While the imposed script appears coherent, my body seems to resist it. Related AI-generated images extend these ideas through exaggerated, synthetic bodies shaped by fantasies of strength, virility, and control.

Together, the works explore a visual culture in which violence is directed both outward and inward.
